I'm pleased to announce a new partnership between EI x Island Press, the preeminent publishing house for all things urbanism & infrastructure.
Friends! Exciting news I wanted to share. The excellent folks at Island Press—planning’s preeminent publishing house—and Exasperated Infrastructures are now officially working together. To no one’s surprise, I’ll be reviewing books they publish; there’ll be an opportunity to win a copy each book just for being a subscriber and everyone will get a discount code! There also might be a rekindling of online/offline book chats should the opportunity and serendipity arise.
This is a great, exasperated step forward and will help sustain the work I do here. The first book I’ll review—paired with an interview—is Right of Way: Race, Class, and the Silent Epidemic of Pedestrian Deaths in America by the excellent Angie Schmitt. This review will dovetail nicely with a review of some of the published reports on pedestrian fatalities, authored by my friends at Smart Growth America.
