Throughout this series, I’m going to try to make the case for the right kind of spending. Part of the argument needs to be rooted in history and fact because it’s “how we’ve always done things” statements that perpetuate the moral hazard.
I’ll do my best to back up my assertions with data, maps and quotes where appropriate, but the intent isn’t to overwhelm you with numbers to prove common sense, for instance, that $1 trillion is not a realistic target for infrastructure spending. Can you tell if that number is too big or too small?
